The IBM e-Mentor is a Corporate Community Relations Program on Teacher Professional Development in educational technology spear-headed by IBM Philippines in cooperation with EduQuest, Inc. and the USAID-funded Growth with Equity in Mindanao (GEM). As the traditional role of teachers is now challenged by new methods and strategies enhanced and facilitated by the power of Information and Computer Technology (ICT) applications and tools, IBM e-Mentor aims to develop The Contemporary Teacher of the 21st Century, one who is enabled to apply and adapt effective use of ICT to inspire interest and motivate students to become lifelong learners; impart knowledge; and facilitate community participation as partners in learning.
Training is tentatively set on December 5-14, 2005 in Davao City.
