Alhamdulillah! I made it to Davao City! To my co-IBM eMentor Scholars...Kudos!!! Wish you the best and have a great time!
Today, January 16, 2005 is our first day of training. I'm so excited. I woke up early at about 4:45 A.M., prepared myself and made my obligatory prayer for "Subuh" to start my day. May the blessings and guidance of ALMIGHTY ALLAH be with us not only for today but for the whole duration of our training.
After fixing myself, my co-scholars have our breakfast at about 7:30 alrerady. We enjoyed our meals beacause we ate like a King... "eat all you can", thanks to GEM-CLICK. After breakfast, we walk under the heat of the early morning sunshine... wow, I sweat before reaching our destination, STI the venue of our training.
Upon reaching STI, we were required to present an I.D. before entering the area. Then we registered for the first day of our training. "Good morning to everyone!" I met my co-IBM eMentor Scholars and known all the people involved in this training program. Registration started from 8:00 o'clock to 9:00 o'clock this morning and while waiting for the rest, Engr. Raymond "Garsh" Garcia is very accomodating to the trainees and started to share some knowledge that he has to share with us about the training program. He also introduces us his co-pilot Mr. Romeo "Meoh" Aquivido and some people from STI.
Then finally comes the Opening Program which started at about 9:30 AM with a welcome remarks from Ms. Arcille Catherine B. Raagas. Then an inspiring message from IBM Philippines representative Ms. Andrea Escalona, Country Marketing Manager and an appetizing remarks from EduQuest, Engr. RAYMOND GARCIA, Program Manager.
We have also an open forum and after that we started an orientation what we are about to learn in this training. For the first day, Alhamdulillah, I have acquired an additional knowledge about technology for that will be very useful in the future for teaching my students. THANKS to Sir Garsh!
Before going back to our lodging house, we have sometime window shopping in Victoria Plaza. So many interesting things to buy, but sorry...no much money.
We already arrived in Alta Pension around 9:00 o'clock P.M. We ate our dinner with much laughter because everyone in the group shared their funniest experience. What a day??! God Bless to all. See you...
